It’s been seventeen years and the time has finally arrived for a character commendable film like Logan. This is Wolverine’s last chapter; a brutal, astonishing, and heartfelt sendoff to what is X-Men’s biggest and baddest character, and unlike its predecessors, is successfully different; a subtle and mature mutant-western camouflaged in blood, grit, and heart. Since his introduction into film, Wolverine has always been the most interesting X-Men – particularly due to Hugh Jackman and his forever compelling performance. Logan shows the character at both his most vulnerable and strongest. This is a man torn in two by past and future, holding onto the light from others; the seamlessly radiant beings that seem to anchor us dearly in the most desperate times. Nothing says heart like the people you share it with.
